Cables, Mock Cables & Twisted Stitches

Casting On & Binding Off
There are literally 100’s of ways to cast on and bind off, but we usually use only 2 or 3. You’ll learn the basics of Long Tail (including the AMAZING Infinite Cast On), Cable and Knitted, Invisible and Provisional Cast Ons and when and why to use the different ones. Bind Offs can be Basic, Elastic, Crocheted and a couple more!

Diagonal Knitting
Knitting on the diagonal or bias doesn’t require a gauge, other than to be sure the needle size is giving you the feel you want! You’ll learn to create interesting pieces, which yarns may work best and how to include a bias piece in “traditional” knitting.

Finishing
Poor finishing can ruin your hard-won knitting work! You’ll learn the Mattress Stitch for virtually invisible seams, how to knit shoulders together and when and why to use different methods.
